Exam and audition accompanimentAll string, woodwind and brass players, as well as singers, need a pianist to accompany them in music grade exams, and to rehearse beforehand.
I am happy to do this. As a freelance musician and experienced accompanist, I charge a fee, as detailed below, payable in advance, for this service. This would cover pre-exam rehearsal(s) and the exam itself.
Exam Accompaniment Fees (2010)
one rehearsal of 20 minutes + the exam (including a run-through at the venue if there is a piano there, and time allows)
two rehearsals of 20 minutes each + the exam (including a run-through at the venue if there is a rehearsal piano there, and time allows) You would need to supply me with a copy of the piano part at least one week before the first rehearsal (for singers this would be in addition to your own copy).
two rehearsals of 30 minutes + the exam (including a run-through at the venue if there is a rehearsal piano there, and time allows) You would need to supply me with a copy of the piano part at least one week before the first rehearsal (for singers this would be in addition to your own copy).
- Aural Test Practice (usually higher grades, but could be any) - Fee £15
30 minutes (sometimes instrumental teachers are reluctant to administer practice aural tests for the higher grades, because of the advanced keyboard skills which are needed to administer them)
