Fergus Black - Accompanist

Fergus is available to accompany grade exams, auditions, concerts, GCSE and A-level recitals in Peterborough, Stamford and Huntingdon, either at the local centres or at schools.
All string, woodwind and brass players, as well as singers, need a pianist to accompany them in music grade exams, and to rehearse beforehand.
I am happy to do this. As a freelance musician and experienced accompanist, I charge a fee, as detailed below, payable in advance, for this service. This would cover pre-exam rehearsal(s) and the exam itself.

two rehearsals of 30 minutes each + the exam (including a run-through at the venue if there is a rehearsal piano there, and time allows) You would need to supply me with a copy of the piano part at least one week before the first rehearsal (for singers this would be in addition to your own copy).

Aural Test Practice
usually higher grades (but could be any)
30 minutes (sometimes instrumental teachers are reluctant to administer practice aural tests for the higher grades, because advanced keyboard skills are needed for them)

Fergus is frequently employed as an accompanist, playing for exams, shows, concerts and recitals.
For five years, he was accompanist for the Cambridgeshire Boys’ Choir, including three foreign tours, regular concerts (Fauré Requiem, Britten Missa Brevis, Bach Christmas Oratorio, Stainer Crucifixion, Poulenc Litanies de la Vierge Noire, Pergolesi Stabat Mater, and other works) and TV, Radio and CD.
